I have a 'new' iPad. I've had this cover for about 3 weeks and it's been working well. The magnet feature works as expected. The leather cover makes the iPad so much easier to grip so that it's easy to use the iPad while moving around outside. I like the smell of the leather. Since it's leather, I'm expecting it to last for a while. The are two landscape positions you can stand the iPad in, one taller (roughly 75 degrees), suitable for watching videos, and one shallower (roughly 30 degrees) and more suitable for typing. At first, I was concerned about a cover adding to the thickness of the iPad, but it didn't turn out to be an issue for me. Ultimately, the cover adds to the portability of the iPad because now it's easier to handle anywhere without being too concerned about it slipping and dropping. The leather case I received for my iPad 3 fits perfectly and the magnetic shut off works fine. I ordered two cases; one from Bear Motion and the other one was the Splash Raindrop leather case. I intended to only keep one of them after seeing them for myself. Both cases are nice but the functionality of the Bear Motion case as a stand for both typing and watching movies is superior. Also, the magnetic shut off feature did not work properly on the Splash case. My only complaint with the Bear Motion case was the strong "new football" smell when you first take it out of the plastic bag. It took mine almost a week for the smell to go away but now it is fine. Some reviewers said the smell went away in a day. Just be patient because I have had the case for a few weeks now and really like it a lot better than the Apple smart cover my husband has on his iPad. I will be returning the Splash Raindrop case and keeping the Bear Motion which is much nicer. (read more customer review)

I've had this case less than 24 hours. It is perfect for protecting the IPAD 3 and fits perfectly. The on/off feature of the IPAD 3 works with this case. I've had an Apple IPAD 2 cover for my IPAD 2 and it just covers the screen and costs more than this case. The case arrived inside a nice jewelry like cloth bag which was enclosed in a thick plastic cover, both inside the shipping container. It looks great and protects the IPAD well. I looked at the cases reviewed by MacWorld, even those exceeding $100.00 and then checked out the customer reviews. The customer reviews were not that flattering. So I went to Amazon, searched on IPAD 3 cases and selected average customer reviews. This case was at the top of the reviews with only five or four stars. Based on the previous reviews, I selected this case. With Prime shipping I had this case in two days and I couldn't be happier. It fit my needs perfectly(read more customer review)

Bear Motion is a great case for my iPad3 (the New iPad). The stiching is top notch, fit and finish is excellent and (black) leather is of very high quality. It needs a day or two to 'air out' and about 2 weeks to 'soften' the leather. After that it fits like a glove, offers solid protection and is easy to open/close. This is a well made cover that does what I need. It is heavier than the Apple flip cover, but it protects the Ipad very well, front and back. Not completely padded on the corners, but not exposed either. I have an IPAD3, and it goes to sleep mode fine. Strong magnets hold the cover closed. Also includes and pouch to hold everything, but that seems like overkill for storage (cover and pouch). I'm happy with the purchase(read more customer review)

The Bear Motion iPad case is just what I was looking for, and it looks great, too. Nice quality leather, fine stitching, good design. The built-in stand feature puts the iPad at just about the right angle for doing email, using Facetime and Skype, etc. When using the stand, the iPad is in landscape mode, so the screen aspect ratio is just about the same as a typical desktop or laptop monitor.
